MOFAS Family Retreat
June 27-29,
2008
Build your family to family network, meeting others who are living with FASD
each day.
This year MOFAS (Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) is putting on
a Fun Summer Family Retreat in Brainerd, MN. We are collaborating with
Confidence Learning Center to provide a safe and fun weekend experience. This
camp weekend is only open to families affected by FASD.
Activities include: campfires, networking for parents, a nature center, arts and
crafts activities, hayrides, animal feeding, teen activities, glass bottom boat,
fishing, pontoon rides, swimming, a 60-foot tree climb, etc. All activities are
adapted for any level of participation. No previous camping experience required.
This is no rough camping experience! We will be staying in fully modernized
cabins. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm, bedding, bathroom supplies,
and food for some meals. MOFAS will provide snacks and one group meal per day.
This camp is limited to 15 families. It is important to register soon to reserve
your space.
Cost per family is $150.00, which covers one meal
per day, lodging and activities.
